Since the late 1970s a great deal of original thinking has taken place across the English speaking world on the relationship between theology and educational theory and practise. This reader brings together for the first time key articles originally published in theological and educational journals in Australia, Canada, the USE and the UK by Anglican, Free Church, Roman Catholic and Muslim writers, including internationally acclaimed scholars like Professor Brian B. The editors maintain that the theology of education has a crucial contribution to make in the evaluation and development of the work of schools and colleges, of equal standing to the perspectives offered by the philosophy of education, psychology of education and sociology of education.
