Medjugorje has now become a major pilgrimage site with visitors coming from throughout the world to visit the places where the children received their visions of the Virgin Mary. Fr Robert Faricy and Sister Lucy Rooney have done much to promote interest in the appearances at Medjugorje amongst people throughout the English-speaking world, and are the authors of ‘Mary Queen of Peace’, ‘Medjugorje’ and numerous other books on prayer and spirituality.

To make a spiritual retreat involves retreating, withdrawing from daily life, cares, work. This programme has been designed so that it can be used either by those undertaking intensive six- or eight-day retreats, or by those making a retreat within everyday life. To make an everyday retreat it is necessary to set aside some 45 minutes each day in which one can withdraw from the world and follow the retreat prayer exercises.
