She has received awards for her work including the 2004 Media Award from the American Cancer Society. Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle knew Blessed Mother Teresa personally who has encouraged her to write. Additionally, Mother Teresa has written forewords for her books. Pope John Paul II has given Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle his Apostolic Blessing on her work on Mother Teresa.
