Ronni is a 21st-century American teenager who has lost her faith following the deaths of her brother and father. They died saving the life of someone she does not deem worthy, and she doubts the concept of sacrifice.  "Nothing's worth dying for," she declares. When Ronni takes ill, she awakens in 1st-century Jerusalem, two days before the Crucifixion.
