Italy's Turin Cathedral is the home of an ancient burial cloth bearing an image many believe to be that of Jesus Christ.  This image has generated question adn controbersy within the Church as well as teh secular world.

Is this cloth a forgery?  Is it merely a religious relic, of nom more concern than a statue or an amulet? Or does it prove that New Testament accounts of Christ's crucifixionand resurrecton are true?

The Silent Witness is a monumental documentary based on scientific investigations of this burial cloth, known as the Shroud of Turin.  In it noted medical examiners, theologians, physicists, and historians use modern science to trace the probable history of the cloth and reconstruct the events of Christ's passion.

The startling results of their detective work unfold dramatically.  Conclusions are left to the viewer.  But ther can be no doubt that The Silent Witness is a thought provoking film of great historical and theological significance.
