"As the casket was lowered into the vault, a drummer and bugler from the Southern Command played Last Postand Reveille while, in the Domain, the Army fired a thirteen-gun salute at minute intervals for the man who, for 46 years, had been a Chaplain-General of the Australian Military Forces.
