Render Unto Christ by Tommasa Alfieri is a meditation on the fourteen works of mercy. In the opinion of the authoress, these are the real works which matter, which remain and which sanctify: furthermore they are the only ones which are contemporary in every age.

In these pages, which have a rare gently and penetrating spirit, the invitation to practise these virtues is revived. The book, introduced by Raimondo Spiazzi O.P., contains photographs of the doorway of the fourteenth centry church of Santa Maria della Salute in Viterbo, one of the very rare examples - and unique in Italy - of scluptural representation of the fourteen works of mercy.
