Living the Truth in Love, dealt largely with the underlying Christian anthropology that informs Church teaching on same sex attraction. This volume focuses on practical approaches, drawing upon the wisdom of scripture, theology, canon law, psychiatry and psychology. These essays deal with the eternal consequences of the choices we make, with studies done on the origin of same sex attraction, with techniques for healing the emotions and counseling those with unwanted same sex attraction. It also presents personal testimony from those who experience same sex attraction, and the support received from their Christian community.
Advice is given for how to compose homilies on same sex attraction, how to present the issues to parishes and to high school students, what kind oflanguage is most appropriate for conveying Church teaching, how parishes might welcome and minister to those with same sex attraction, and how pastors might deal such delicate matters as baptizing infants of individuals involved in same sex unions. In addition, authors address transgenderism and same sex marriages.
