This book which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary comprises papers from many different points of view on various topics concerning Mary and Ecumenism, so that everyone should find in it something attractive, stimulating or challenging.  The 24 papers are written by men and women, clergy, religious and lay, including many university professors and lecturers, from the Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Melkite, Anglican, Presbyterian, Methodist and Lutheran churches, from Asia, America and Europe, and representing a wide range of opinions on Marian topics, both scholarly and devotional.

These papers were given at International Congresses of the Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Winchester (1991), Norwich (1994), and Bristol (1996) and a Conference at Dromantine, Newry (1995).
