Catholic Lives charts the stories of an eclectic collection of men and women who have made the jouney to the Catholic Church. Their routes have been varied, and not without obstacles and struggles. Some have come from other Christian traditions, or from other faith communities, or simply from a background where they had only a vague belief in God or some kind of supernatural power. Despite the current climate of secularisation, relativism, pluralism and agnosticism, there are individuals whose spiritual search has led them to discover that the claims of the Catholic Church are as powerful and true as they were when the Apostles first left Jerusalem and went out around the Mediterranean lands to preach the message of Christ 2000 years ago. Their search for truth and spirituality is inspiring, revealing, and full of insights into how you make sense of your life in an often confusing world, full of conflicting messages. 

These stories, ordinary and extraordinary, which include a former gangster and a former Government Minister, a one-time National Front activist, a newspaper tycoon, a scientist, and the director of one of Britain's leading ballet companies, highlight the old adage that God moves in mysterious ways. What's more, they show that both Christ and His Church are very much alive and active in our hi-tech world, despite what much of the media would like us to believe. Underpinning these, sometimes dramatic, stories are the words of Christ: 'Seek and you shall find'.
